Biography

I am an energetic IT professional with over 16 years of experience in software development and management.

Over the past several years I have had the opportunity to create organizations within a software company setting as well as promote scrum in a large financial institution. At the small software company, I created an environment that supported project work on multiple products including work from 1 to 20 scrum teams on one product. With regular coaching and mentoring these teams have achieved great success creating high quality software that met the business needs and made our customers happy. All this with little to no turnover in staff, which was a testament to how good scrum environment retains high quality team members. I have been able to effectively work with upper management to maintain expectations of risks and outcomes.

Most recently I have had the opportunity to work in much larger organizations 60 to 100 teams and hundreds of projects. I continue to learn how to transform organizations with scrum and encourage self organizing, empowered teams to get the work done the way that works best for them. These experiences have also allows folks to learn how to work in different environments and cultures with different levels of agile adoption.
