(be) Agile. Transform. Create. Innovate. These words guide my mind-set and approach in the business world and allow me to adapt within a variety of environments, teams and structures. They are the foundation of my 20+ years in the Financial and Telecommunications industries and 15+ years working in software project delivery. My training and knowledge combined with my skills and experience with agile and waterfall frameworks ensure superior leadership and transformational results.
I currently work for a leading financial institution in Canada in their Agile COE, helping lead the transformation from waterfall to agile. My days are mostly spent coaching Scrum Teams, managers and leaders, while working with other agile enthusiasts and coaches to better our agile practices. I also provide training on Agile & Scrum fundamentals and User Story Creation fundamentals.
Previously, I particpated in transforming another large bank from waterfall to agile, focused within a large Line of Business. Here, I coached 6-9 teams, trained teams in a number of agile and Scrum areas, actively played the role of the Scrum Master on the very first Pilot Scrum team, and work closely with our Agile COE to affect enterprise changes to support agility. I was also invited as a speaker in the Healthcare industry, to introduce Agile as an alternative to existing approaches in clinical oncology studies.

Recruited to lead multiple high-priority online and mobile initiatives. Managed cross-platform teams and vendors on 20+ projects, with budgets ranging from $300K to $7M. Scope of role varied and included strategic planning, design, project management, training, communications and vendor relations. My role and goals were changed in June 2010 (after my CSM designation) to focus on introducing agile practices and values along with implementing Scrum to the Digital platform (department). This included executive and senior management presentations and developing a strategy for introducing the agile mindset and Scrum into a delivery framework rooted in waterfall. A short and long-term vision was created.
