Biography

Mauricio Damián-Araoz

From 2011 to 2014 I worked at Linko Services S.A. de C.V. as a Software Architect, in 2012 I got the Oracle Certified Professional certification and the Java EE 5 Business Component Developer certification, in the same year I get my first agile certification, the Certified Scrum Master; in the next year I got three more certifications as a Tinanium Certified Developer, Certified Scrum Developer and Project Manager Professional, after all of that certifications and many work I finally got the role as a formed Scrum Master, Project Manager an Software Architect.

In 2012 I work as a Scrum Master in Scotiabank in bank account reports, before Scrum the project the delivery was always overdue and the working hours always were more than 10, I started with simple steps, first with the Kanban board and pasting the task for that week, after the team learned to use the board I integrated the daily meeting, finally I implemented all the Scrum Framekwork with Sprint plannings, Sprint reviews and of course, the pizza. It was from 2012 to 2013.

In 2013 I started to work in Renault in a maintenance car system. The project was overdue and as in Scotiabank I teached to the team to work with Scrum; in that year I got the Scrum Certified Developer certification and after that I started to try the ATDD and TDD principles with that team, at first the implementation was hard because continuos integration and test the code was not part of the programmer education but, at the end of the project we ended in time and with a 90% reduction on bugs.

At the end of 2013 and early in 2014 I started to work in Previta, the health care company, with more experience and after see that the satisfaction level of the client was 6 in a scale from 1 to 10 I decided to start over and teach to my client that was the CEO of the company to teach him the Agile principles, he decided that the methodology fits perfectly to them and not only the IT team started to work with agile, but the other no IT areas started at least with daily meetings and at least three areas have a Scrum of Scrums.
