With a background in project management, Amber had an 'ah-ha' moment in early 2000s when the Architect on her project said we should use Scrum to deliver a new product to market. From that successful delivery and a mindset shift on how IT projects can be delivered, Amber has and continues to be a strong supporter and advocate of Scrum and agile practices to deliver high value, high quality features to meet business needs. She has brought several teams on using the Scrum and has worked with existing teams to improve their agile maturity. As well, she has provided technical and business stakeholders and senior management support on identifying ways to adopt Scrum or agile practices and guidance on how to remove organizational impediments to better support Scrum.
Currently, she is a ScrumMaster working with a fantastic team in their 89th sprint that provides ongoing support and enhancements of their enterprise CRM platforms. Team has an excellent cadence senior management support from business and technology and continues to fine tune, taking advantage of opportunities to improve delivery.
Outside of the office, she is part of the New Orleans Agile (NOLA Agile) leadership group that meets monthly to meet with professionals to share and learn about agile.
