Scrum Alliance, Unscripted

At Your Service

How Scrum Alliance is pivoting to serve you better

In the past several weeks, the world has shifted. We’ve been living in a VUCA world for some time now, but the rate of change we’ve experienced in the past few weeks is unprecedented.

The good news is, agile teams were created for times like these. In times of constant change, in the face of uncertainty and chaos, the ability to pivot—to rapidly change course—has never been so valuable.

We’re making some major pivots over the next several months to help serve our community and the larger agile movement. I want to share a few of those with you.

All certification types are temporarily available virtually

For the first time ever, we’re allowing virtual CSM, CSPO, CSD, CE, and CAL I courses. (Look for the (()) icon.)

We did not make this decision lightly—and are continuing to inspect and adapt as we roll out virtual courses. Our passionate and experienced Certified Scrum Trainers and Certified Agile Coaches are doing some amazing things by collaborating with each other to delight you, our community.

We still believe in-person courses are by far the best way to deliver the fire-igniting, transformative training that we are known for. But in a world where travel and group meetings have been severely limited, we must offer a virtual option.

When this crisis is over (and it will end) we plan to return to our previous policy of in-person learning.

Scrum Gathering New York 2020 has been canceled

We have made the painful but necessary decision to cancel this year’s in-person conference, scheduled for May 11-13 in New York City.

We are working to find innovative ways to bring that information to you. Stay tuned.

At your service now and always

Speaking of bringing information to you, this sprint we are exploring ways to help you connect with others in the community. Our teams have some bold ideas that we are hoping to bring to life over the coming weeks. Anything we create will be shared with the entire community as our way of giving back and being of service.

We also want to curate all of the virtual events, resources, and offerings from our global community so they can be shared easily. Got an idea for an offering or resource you want us to share? Send it to us.

Remember, this too shall pass.

It’s clear that we’re experiencing extraordinary circumstances. And it’s equally clear to me that we’re going to get through this, together. As a community we’ll be stronger and more powerful because we worked through it. Be patient. Remain calm. Stay agile.

We’re right here beside you through it all.
