At Your Service Now and Always

Editor's note: This article is one of a series designed to be At Your Service as we all learn to connect with one another even while we're remote. Because together we are not alone.

In the past several weeks, the world has shifted. We’ve been living in a VUCA world for some time now, but the rate of change we’ve experienced in the past few weeks is unprecedented.

The good news is, agile teams were created for times like these. In times of constant change, in the face of uncertainty and chaos, the ability to pivot—to rapidly change course—has never been so valuable.

We’re making some major pivots over the next several months to help serve our community and the larger agile movement. I want to share a few of those with you.

All certification types are now available live online

For the first time ever, we’re offering live online CSM, CSPO, CSD, CE, and CAL I courses

We did not make this decision lightly—But in a world where travel and group meetings have been severely limited, we must offer a virtual option.

To ensure that we continue to deliver the fire-igniting, transformative experience that we are known for, we are inspecting and adapting as we roll out virtual training. Early indications are that our passionate and experienced Certified Scrum Trainers and Certified Agile Coaches are doing some amazing things by collaborating with each other to delight you, our community.

As agilists, we know that the best response to a changing world is the ability to adapt. This is where true agility thrives. We invite you to reskill or upskill for the emerging new normal—and look forward to the day when we can prioritize face-to-face interactions once again.

Scrum Gathering New York 2020 has been canceled

We have made the painful but necessary decision to cancel this year’s in-person conference, scheduled for May 11-13 in New York City.

We are working to find innovative ways to bring that information to you. Stay tuned.

At your service now and always

Speaking of bringing information to you, this sprint we are exploring ways to help you connect with others in the community. Our teams have some bold ideas that we are hoping to bring to life over the coming weeks. Anything we create will be shared with the entire community as our way of giving back and being of service.

We also want to curate all of the virtual events, resources, and offerings from our global community so they can be shared easily. Need ideas? Or do you have an offering or resource you want us to share? Visit our remote resource hub.

Remember, this too shall pass.

It’s clear that we’re experiencing extraordinary circumstances. And it’s equally clear to me that our community cannot wait until this is over to start preparing for the new normal that will emerge. So stay safe. Be well. Remain agile.

No matter how the world changes, today, tomorrow, or ten years from now, we are at your service, ready to connect with you where you are, wherever in the world you are. Because together we are not alone.
