John Sofko

John Sofko currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Athenium Analytics.  He is an experienced and effective servant leader, utilizing a wide breadth of technical knowledge to provide guidance and process improvement to technical organizations. John has over fifteen years of experience in technology leadership positions and possesses a proven record of increasing efficiency, system reliability and end user satisfaction while reducing cost and operational complexity.  He has a demonstrated capability for transitioning organizations from legacy service providers to the cloud while ensuring performance, security and reliability.  John is equally adept at providing a high-level explanation to senior management while assisting in the low-level design and implementation of technical projects.  A strong proponent of the agile methodology, John has demonstrated the ability to introduce, adapt and enhance the use of agile processes in both software development and operations focused teams.  He is passionate about team building, knowledge sharing and utilizing technology to improve organizations. John holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Duquesne University and a M.B.A. from Youngstown State University.
