Congratulations and welcome to the Global Scrum Gathering® Minneapolis 2018 official program. This page is your home base to help you prepare for #SGMSP18.

Important 2018 Deadlines and Information (Click on each link for complete information):

Speaker Bio and Photo Request (Deadline: January 12, 2018)

We need your 100-200-word speaker biography, along with your high-resolution headshot (300dpi, .jpg, and .eps) to use for marketing materials and website.

Event Registration (Deadline: February 1, 2018)

Speaker Accommodation Form (Deadline: February 1, 2018)

If you wish to take advantage of the complimentary standard room accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, please complete the SGMSP18 Speaker Accommodation Form by February 1 so we can add you to the rooming list. *Please refer to Speaker Compensation Policy for details.

Be sure that you’ve downloaded and used the 16x9 Speaker PPT template in its entirety for your presentation. Feel free to add your company logo if you wish, but do not remove the Scrum Alliance logo.

Speaker Compensation Policy

We are pleased to offer the following compensation to the first Primary Author associated with an accepted session:

  • A20 Session: Complimentary registration
  • 45-Minute Session: Complimentary registration + two-night accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis*
  • 75-Minute Session: Complimentary registration + two-night accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis*

We do not offer splitting or transferring compensation to additional presenters. You are welcome to have additional speaker(s) assist; however, they will not receive any compensation and will be responsible for paying the registration fee.

*Hotel compensation is valid for single occupancy only.

Session Set-up, Supplies, and Support

Based on room capacity, each room will be set with full rounds or rounds mixed with theatre style. Provided equipment includes:

  • (1) Wireless lapel microphone and audio capabilities
  • Data projector and screen
  • Wireless Internet
  • (1) Flipchart and paper pad
  • Markers and Post-it® notes


If required for your presentation, please bring your own laptop and appropriate adaptor to avoid software or hardware compatibility issues. Scrum Alliance will not be providing these items.

Session Support
We’ll have a volunteer room monitor at each session to welcome attendees, manage the room, time-box the session, etc.

The Registration/Hospitality Desk will be open at the Convention Center from 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily.

Letter of Invitation

If you require an official Letter of Invitation to participate in Global Scrum Gathering® Minneapolis 2018, please complete the Letter of Invitation Form. **NOTE** You must register as a speaker first (please see Speaker Registration)
