This intensive two-day course will prepare attendees to take on the ScrumMaster role, and is taught by Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) Angela Johnson. During the course, students will cover pragmatic, time-tested practices for managing product backlogs, long and short-range planning, project execution, and progress reporting. Students will also examine the many facets of Scrum, including the project lifecycle, roles, ceremonies, and artifacts.
As part of this course, students will participate in exercises, in-depth discussion, case studies and techniques to help illustrate practices and principles. And once the course is complete, all students will be eligible for ScrumMaster Certification with the Scrum Alliance. Attendees will also receive a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, an organization that provides valuable materials and resources exclusively to CSMs.
From Our Students:
- “Angela is an excellent trainer. Class exceeded my expectations.”
- “The examples used were great, clear, and understandable.
- “I love hearing about real life examples from the trainer's experience!
Anyone wishing to learn more about Scrum is welcome to attend, and please note: registrants of this course do NOT need to have substantial experience working in an Agile environment—but it does help if students have at least some experience managing projects.
All CSM courses are taught by Trainers approved by the Scrum Alliance. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
