Participants in the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) class learn the foundational principles and practices related to Scrum and agile-based development. The three roles in Scrum, Development Team, Product Owner, and ScrumMaster are examined and discussed. amd the various Scrum artifacts and events are covered in detail. Attendees will examine in depth when and why to use Scrum as an approach for product development and other work.  CSM students learn heuristically through exploration, discovery, discussion, and interactive exercises that help provide context and clarity to various topics.  By the end of the class, participants should have a good comprehension of Scrum.  The class involves 14 hours of instruction followed by certification examination via the Scrum Alliance's online CSM exam.

All CSM courses are taught by Trainers approved by the Scrum Alliance. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
