BeardedEagle decided to launch this new combo course to assist the agile community cross two bridges in 3 days. Participants will leave this workshop ready to sit and pass the PMI-ACP and the CSM. They are launching this in their Dallas hometown where this boot-camp will be offered bi-monthly.
The ScrumMaster Certification introduces the concepts of the Scrum, the most popular Agile framework. Scrum is a seemingly simple process that can have such profound effects on an organization. Each participants will gain practical experience working with Scrum tools and activities such as the product backlog, sprint backlog, daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning meeting, and burndown charts. Participants leave knowing how to apply Scrum to all sizes of projects, from a single collocated team to a large, highly distributed team.
PMI's new PMI-ACP as the hottest and fastest growing certification around, will prepare participants to demonstrate their project management know how within an Agile context. Gartner analysts predicted in 2010 that by 2012 Agile development methods will be utilized in 80% of all software development projects. It is no surprise that the Project Management Institute (PMI) announced that they are offering a new Certification for Agile Project Managers.
The certification validates a PM’s experience and mastery of the agile principals and processes. An Agile certified practitioner has the knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall practices and is able to lead teams on Agile projects. By holding this Agile Practitioner Certification, which is more credible than other agile certifications out there, a practitioner verifies their agile expertise to companies looking to adopt the agile methodology.

Following successful completion of the course, you will be qualified and ready to pass the new Scrum Alliance certification test. This multiple-choice, online test is required to become a Certified ScrumMaster, which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional ScrumMaster-only material and information are available.

About the Instructor
Devon Morris is a Coach, Open Space facilitator and Certified Scrum Trainer with over 13 years of experience with Scrum. He has helped with the adoption of Scrum and Agile at numerous companies both large and small. Devon brings this broad range of experience to every training event and coaching session to boost performance when applying techniques. He holds the following certifications - Project Management Professional, Agile Certified Practitioner and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
About your Instructor:
Devon Morris has an extensive background in helping companies make the challenging transition to agile development by working with development teams and business stakeholders to identify their needs, define the right process for the business, determine the steps needed to implement the process, and work through the steps successfully. He has trained over 1000 people with his unique style. Devon was formally trained by Ken Schwaber in 2005 and on the hard knocks streets of "Corporate America" by practicing what he preaches. Time spent with him is always engaging and fun.
Devon Morris has his Project Management Professional (PMP), ScrumMaster (CSM, PSM), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Professional ScrumMaster, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) & Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB). He participated in PMI's beta program for the for the ACP exam and was one of the first to receive the certification.

All CSM courses are taught by Trainers approved by the Scrum Alliance. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
