This course teaches the participant how to set up and adhere to the principles and process of Scrum. Participants will learn how to
work with Product Owners to create Product Backlogs, plan Sprints and break down Backlog items into prioritized tasks. Also,
participants will learn the methods, logistics and metrics needed to execute and track the release and Sprints and deliver valuable,
quality porduct quickly.
The course also examines the ScrumMaster’s role, not as a project manager, but as a protector of the team and servant leader.
Participants will learn how to use these skills within a large-scale, distributed environment. The course includesinstructor experiences,
case studies, and several in-class labs that will help participants build knowledge, skills, and appreciation through active
learning and experiences rather than lecture.
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be a certified as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
All CSM courses are taught by Trainers approved by the Scrum Alliance. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
