Standard Certified ScrumMaster training, but on a Friday and Saturday and delivered as a give-back. I have set aside some seats to be free for those currently in transition or working for a non-profit. The rest of the class is a thank you for a donation of $500 that you earmark toward a charity at the class. We have raised thousands for several charities and connected attendees with services opportunities.
Friday and Saturday, May 27th & 28th from 9 AM - 5 PM. Graciously hosted by Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 5340 E. La Palma, Anaheim, CA.
Scott is a Certified Scrum Trainer and PMP who lives in Orange County and has helped over a dozen companies in the So Cal area. Founder of the Orange County APLN and speaker at local conferences and this year's RallyON, Seattle Scrum Gathering, and Agile 2011 conferences.
How it works:
Register via the blue button to the right, and select whether you are working or currently in transition. which requires a $50 fee, which is the Scrum Alliance fee for membership and certification.
- If you are currently out of work, that's all that is expected. And out of work means loss of and looking for full-time work. This is not for contractors in between gigs. I will ask for proof of unemployment status. This class is me paying it forward for the opportunities I have been given.
- If you work for a non-profit, that's all that is expected. I will ask for proof of employment with a nonprofit. This class is to gift to you for the work you do.
- If you are currently employed, you will have the opportunity to flag your payment for charities that will be presented at the training. That is you paying it forward to benefit others.
Once the class is full, I will email all the registrants with additional details and information.
All CSM courses are taught by Trainers approved by the Scrum Alliance. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
