Join agile consultant, entrepreneur and trainer Arlen Bankston for a Scrum course consistently rated as one of the best in the industry.
This two-day Certified ScrumMaster Training prepares you both to gain your ScrumMaster certification, and more importantly to utilize it in complex situations and projects. Upon completion, participants are eligible to take an exam which allows them to be registered as Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), and includes a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where valuable ScrumMaster materials and information are available exclusively to CSMs.
We will cover the essential concepts and tools of Scrum, highlighting differences between agile processes and traditional "waterfall" methodologies and providing a roadmap for adopting Agile. We'll look into the theoretical bases of Scrum, including Lean and the quality movement. We’ll also cover newer advances such as Kanban, and learn how to apply Scrum to program and portfolio management at scale.
You'll learn how to lead development teams towards agile operations by managing product backlogs, planning releases and sprints, tracking and reporting progress, and conducting retrospectives. This course is taught by an industry leader with decades of real-world industry experience rolling out Scrum at small businesses to the Fortune 100.
Exercises, case studies, and examples are interwoven throughout the course to illustrate the principles being taught. We'll review the specifics of how organizations ranging from 5 to 5,000 people have implemented Scrum, and participants will have the chance to raise and discuss their own situations, providing one of the most personalized training experiences available.
