Before the course, students are required to read Agile Project Management with Scrum by Ken Schwaber or Agile Software Development with SCRUM by Mike Beedle and Ken Schwaber.
Participants will also benefit from having watched Ken Schwaber talking about Scrum and from reading the messages posted at the Scrum Yahoo! discussion group prior to the course.
As a result of their successful completion of the course, each participant is enrolled as a Certified ScrumMaster, which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional Certified ScrumMaster-only material and information are available.
Geoff Watts has helped coach the agile transformation at British Telecom, one of the largest transitions to agile delivery in the world and has co-taught with Ken Schwaber. He will share his own practical experiences to augment the Scrum theory and exercises to provide the attendees with a thorough learning experience.

All CSM courses are taught by Trainers approved by the Scrum Alliance. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
