Tom Woundy - See my LinkedIn Profile for all my data. I am an electronics engineer by training and have worked for the same company, though 2 aquistitions since 1992. I came to Mentor Graphics as someone who represents end-users of their products, in the technical support organization. After a few years I moved into Software QA, followed by management roles in QA and Tech Support and program management.
After years of trying to perfect my waterfall outlook on the world with little sucess, I embarked on a fully immersive role in 2008 to help lead our division in a transformation to scrum. In this journey I started with getting lots of training, CSM, CSPO, many conferences, attending and later joing the board's of local user meetings and helping produce local agile conferences. In this current coaching role, I develop internal training material used to bootstrap new scrum teams, support our SM's and PO's and ongoing seminars to help growing teams. I launch new teams, coach existing teams and help with organizational impediments and scaling strategies. I serve a internal community of 300+ people using scrum in several countries.
In the local user group community in Boston, I help organize and tech basic agile/scrum as well as support others doing the same. I currently serve as the Treasurer of the Boston Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN), while previsouly Vice Chair. I am also in my 2nd term as Vice President of Agile New England.
