Biography

Tray Williams has over 19 years of experience in the IT industry. As a Vice President of Advanced Systems Design (ASD), he is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as the vision and strategic direction for the State and Local Division which is comprised of staff located in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.

Prior to becoming the Vice President of the State and Local Division, Tray began his career as a software developer in 1996 and filled many roles including quality assurance analyst, business analyst, project manager, software architect and personnel manager. He holds current Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications. Tray has provided Agile training and consulting for several state agencies including the Florida Department of Health, Florida Department of Financial Services, Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Tray maintains active involvement in several IT related organizations. Currently, he serves as an executive board member for the TalTech Alliance and maintains an active presence in several technical communities in Florida and Alabama.

Regional Manager 3/2012 – current Responsible for business development in addition to the management of contracts and employees for the states of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. Scrum Master, PMP, Senior Software Architect 7/2009 – 3/2012 (Florida Department of Health – Division of IT) Work with a team to develop and maintain applications supported by the division of IT Accomplishments Include: • Developing an Agile process utilizing Scrum and Kanban for the Enterprise Application Services team • Developed curriculum and provided training for Scrum project management courses attended by DOH staff and other state agencies. • Managed multiple projects in accordance with PMIs Project Management Body of Knowledge • Initiated and facilitated multiple meetings aimed at maturing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within the Enterprise Application Services team. • Mentored developers on best practices in designing and implementing enterprise software applications • Developed .Net 4.0 project template utilizing custom web controls and entity framework. • Migrated three projects from classic ASP to .Net 3.5 and VB.Net.
