MILO (Client – Norwich Union, UK)
The MILO system is designed to manage motor claims that involve bodily injuries. Claims are entered into the Exceed Mainframe system and if suitable are then passed to the MILO system through IBM Websphere MQ. The source claim system is updated with reserve amounts and actual payments made during the process. Throughout the processes the MILO system and source claim system are synchronized regularly. All communication between the source claim system will be performed by the middleware PoleStar Lite via External Services. Any letters generated by the system are archived into the content management system.
The claim handlers accessing the MILO system are currently located at 4 geographic location; Manchester, Belfast, Exeter and Bangalore, with the users accessing the system via their web browsers.
