Paul Woodruff is General Manager of the Enterprise Network and Service Management business unit within Nortel, based in Santa Clara USA. He has responsibility for strategy, development and delivery of the management framework for management of Enterprise Data, Voice and Multi-Media Applications.
Prior to this, Mr. Woodruff was General Manager of the Blade Server Switching business unit within Nortel. He was instrumental in securing private equity funding to establish this business unit as an external company in which Nortel owns an equity position.
Mr. Woodruff has held positions in R&D and Product Management during his 23 year career in the networking industry. As Vice President of Product Management, Ethernet Switching, he held responsibility for the definition and introduction of the Passport LAN and BayStack switch families, and was instrumental in the broad market adoption of 10/100 to the desktop with the award-winning BayStack 450. During his 14 year tenure with Nortel, he has held product management responsibility for many switch, hub, telephony, IP telephony and network management products. Prior to joining Nortel, Mr. Woodruff ran an engineering group for 3Com in the UK.
Mr. Woodruff holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Southampton University, UK, 1984.
