Biography

Nuno Rafael Gomes is passionate about Lean Thinking, Product Development and Lean Startup, and the co-founder of Xekin.org, a Lean & Agile Community of Practice.

Currently Nuno serves as Product Owner of Farfetch's Digital Production Business Unit, where he has the opportunity to develop software solutions for a Kaizen awarded Manufacturing organization, in what he believes is an unique challenge to balance effectiveness (Agile) with efficiency (Lean) by applying Lean Thinking to a software development Scrum Team.

Nuno has +15 years' experience working on different IT areas, ranging from business and project management, to a wide variety of technical fields. Before 2010 he co-founded 2 startups, worked as Software Engineer for CAD/CAE multinational service provider, and served as Project Manager for 2 of the most iconic Portuguese companies.

In 2010 he joined a small startup (roughly 30 people) named Farfetch as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer & Data Developer and helped the company to become a 1 Billion dollar business in just 5 years.
