Michael "Mike" Huber
CSM, SPC, CPM
I have over 25 years of being an Agile, Lean and Scrum practitioner, consultant and coach.
I gained early experience starting in the late 1980's using W. Edwards Deming's approach to manufacturing, the 90's brought Just in Time manufacturing and Kanban
I was introduced to Scrum while working at Video Gaming Technologies. I had the privilege of being on the team that was provided consulting with Dr. Jeff Sutherland on how to appraoch the transformation to Scrum from Waterfall. As a member of the transformation team I was able to assist in designing and implementing a true Scrum framework for bringing the organization forward. That framework, although modified through continuous improvement, is still in place today.
As an Organizational Change Manager within a partnership of the Federal Reserve 5th District in Richmond, and 12th District in San Francisco, I helped them transform their RUP driven software development group to a Scrum development organization. I coached executive management and Scrum teams in adopting Scrum and Agile practices.
I currently work as the Agile Engagement Director for Celerity. My current role is as a Scrum Master/Agile Coach within Capital One. My Scrum Master role has me engaged with multiple teams. I coach and mentor the teams, as well as senior leadership, in an effort to bring a deeper understanding of Scrum and a Kaizen mindset to everything they do.
My motto is "Always Learning". A day that you learn something is a good day indeed.
