Michael B. Esposito is a Software Performance Architect with over 20 years of experience in analyzing and building large software systems. He currently leads the Performance Engineering Team for the US Life Insurance Division of Genworth Financial. Prior to working for Genworth, he has worked as a contractor for the US Postal Service as an IT architect and a project manager, leading the team responsible for building the data transfer subsystem of the PostalOne! program. PostalOne! is a large business-to-business (B2B) system between the US Postal Service and its high-volume business mailers. He has also worked in the defense industry as a project manager and principal investigator for two decision support systems based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and as the software lead for a distributed, real-time training system for the US Army. While on active duty, Mr. Esposito has served as the project manager, principal architect, and lead designer for a large, distributed, object-oriented decision support system for the US Army Chief of Staff and as the US Army Exchange Officer to the British Royal Artillery Command Information Systems Group. He has also commanded a target acquisition battery stationed in Germany with direct responsibility for the 95 officers, warrant officers, and enlisted soldiers and 25% of the US Army weapon locating radars in Europe.
Mr. Esposito is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Batchelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Virginia Tech. He is also is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College.
