Combine a love of all things techy and a soft spot for Mickey Mouse, and you’ve just described Lauren Harrison. As Agile Coach and Consultant for SmashTank Apps, Lauren is a self-described spirited geek girl who is as passionate about her Mac as she is about leading an engaged workforce.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, this mother of two brings a wealth of consulting experience under her belt. Lauren formerly worked as a Software Development Manager with the REA Group (realestate.com.au), Australia’s leading web property for real estate. From her technical expertise to her interpersonal skills, Lauren was able to masterfully fill several roles and impress fellow colleagues with her energy and drive.
She worked as an Enterprise Agile Coach at Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and information services companies. Telstra is also home to one of the largest Agile Transformations in Australia; here Lauren led a team of 30 highly regarded Agile Coaches and support staff to drive and support the Agile, Lean, and Systems Thinking adoption within Telstra.
In the most recent years, Lauren has been providing Agile product delivery consulting services to TGen (Translational Genomic Research Institue) developing collaborative software applications in aid of their Rare Childhood Cancers and Alzheimers Research Trials.
Being service oriented comes second nature to Lauren, who got her first job working in a retail electronic computer parts store. It was her service experience that served as a springboard for her future endeavors within IT.
Lauren’s 7 years of extensive experience in Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean and Systems Thinking Principles has not only helped provide the growth opportunities for SmashTank Apps, but is also setting up the company to be a leading boutique software development company in the Scottsdale area.
