Karl Royle : Faculty of Education, Health and Well Being: Centre for Development and Research in Education: University of Wolverhampton UK I specialise in integrating ICT based mobile, active and project-based learning, literacy and language development into vocational subjects and latterly video games and digital spaces. My current research interests are around the development of thinking skills in game based learning and the use of ICT in schools by examining the skills and digital habits of learners and affordances of ubiquitous technology and its transfer to secondary school contexts. I am also involved in curriculum and learning design and impact evaluation projects across the range of educational sectors and am currently working on teacher education reform in Palestine. I have a passion for motorcycling, Manchester City and street photography.
