Josh has been working in the field of software development since 2002 with a focus on Agile, leadership and management since 2007. Along the way, he has served in the roles of Developer, Team Lead, Project Manager, Supervisor, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Agile Trainer and Agile Methodologist. With experience spanning a software development startup, a top five insurance carrier, local and state government, Josh brings with him a deep understanding of the mindset, skills and practices necessary to deliver high quality, working software in any environment.
Josh is a passionate advocate for the benefits of quality and productivity made possible via Agile methods. His firm belief, rooted in experience, is that Agile can provide the way to better products, built faster, with more engaged employees and delighted customers. Prior to joining Davisbase, Josh successfully built Agile teams from the ground up, transformed a waterfall team to Scrum, collaborated with management peers for a department-wide Agile adoption using Scrum and Kanban, and helped design and lead a custom scaled Agile implementation for a 15-team, 200-person program. Since joining Davisbase, Josh has had the opportunity to work with Fortune 100 clients in the financial and logistics industries, providing training, coaching and consulting guidance at the team level and scaled Agile program level.
Knowing firsthand the challenges of implementing Agile across a wide variety of organizational settings, Josh is able to meet teams where they are at and help them discover their path to Agile, team and organizational success.
Josh has received Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications. He holds a BS in Computer Science and MS in Management Information Systems both from Florida State University.
