Hari’s 14 years of IT experience spans a broad array roles and responsibilities. Post is B.Tech graduation, he began the career in 2004 as a IT Pre-sales Engineer, Quality Assurance, Auditor in the initial 4 years and later on moved to the roles of Project / Program Manager, Release Manager, ScrumMaster, Agile coach, consultant and a training professional.
He is currently working as Senior Delivery Manager in an Indian Offshore developing company for one of the leading Fintech organizations in Denmark, Saxo Bank.
He is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional, PMP (2012) and also certified by the Scrum Alliance as Certified ScrumMaster, CSM (2014). From the past 6 years, he has been managing various complex projects as an Agile Project Management and dealt with uncertainties in those projects with a great confidence and driven them to safe-shores.
He is also an Scaled Agile Framework Professional (SAFe 4.0 Agilist in 2015) and experienced in Large scale agile at the enterprise level. He holds the ITIL v3 foundation 2011 certification too, which has complimented to his role of Delivery Management over the past few years.
Building and running high performance teams is one of his specialities. His unique blend of IT experience in various roles combined with the ability to drive home complex projects in a flexible approach, make him a effective Agile Project Manager while getting best out of any team. This is one of the key values he demonstrates while transforming teams from forming phase towards high performance teams. Continuously works in Agile mindset and serves teams in the virtual role of servant leader as a result of which team empowering and customer collaboration are effective assets for the organization. The other contributions through his leadership role include driving the Project Management Office (PMO) and establishing the Center of Excellence (CoE) in CMMI Level 5 companies.
In the current organization, Hari's experience in implementing the Agile culture was pivotal over the past 4 years. He has transformed many teams at inception level to self managed teams by coordinating well with Business teams and implementing Agile best practices. He is proficient in guiding teams to deliver quality and Business value as fast as possible and setting up the robust Agile capability in the teams at all levels within the company. Also as a payback to the leadership community, During this tenure, he has encouraged many team members in the organization to grow their passion towards Certified Scrum roles and directed them towards right knowledge learning practices.
By spending over 7 years in Banking & Financial projects and Agile delivery models, Hari deeply understands what it takes for Agile culture to thrive within the constraints of compliance, regulations, schedule deadlines and budgets. As an experienced ScrumMaster and Project Manager, every lesson learnt in his journey has aided the list of the best practices and helped the next assignments in better Risk management, Stakeholder management and overall delivery to the customer.
Apart from the profession as an Agile Project Manager, outside work Hari enjoys attending Agile meetups and Project Management workshops to stay abreast with the latest trends in Project Management. Volunteer experience as PMI India Champion and also Agile groups in Delhi/NCR, India. He joins these Agile workshops to learn from the profession and also payback to the Agile community. He considers Agility is not just about a right way of doing things, it is about developing better products through self managed teams while helping the organisation to deliver value to customers. He learns about Agile trends and stay abreast by interacting with various forums on how to be Agile using Scrum, Kanban, XP and any other processes like Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Automation etc.., which are aiding the Agile mindset in any company. The never-ending evolution and the wide range of applicability of the Agile practices have always helped him to maintain the passion towards the Agile world
Besides this he gets inspiration from many sports and keep learning a lot from the team tactics and their winning strategies. He relates and connect those to the understanding of team challenges and barriers to both strategic and tactical planning and how to overcome them and achieve new progress after those different situations. As a hobby, he chose to be an enthusiastic runner, which also was a great passion he did discover in his early 30s. He does hold few half marathons under the belt and like many runners in the community, he believes that running is a great tool of inspiration and learning, often needed in various phases of life.. :)
