Frank van Puffelen is a Principal Developer in Tridion's Development Lab.
Frank's professional history is a story of lessons learned about software development. His first jobs, in medical computer science, taught him that some mistakes can mean the difference between life and death. His subsequent experience in developing accounting software taught him that even small mistakes can mean the difference between profitability and bankruptcy. As a games developer it became clear to Frank that developing software is like a game, solving puzzles with large numbers of parameters. From co-founding his own company during the dot com crisis he learned that while sound software development can keep a company alive during rough times, you can't survive on great software alone.
