During my time at McLaren Applied Technologies, I was team lead for the Off-car systems team. Responsible for existing and future telemetry and data analysis systems for Formula One, NASCAR, IndyCar and emerging markets such as medical, aerospace and trains. This involved leading a team of 24 on the Windows development stack, building thick .NET clients, middleware and simulation services and high-speed data storage. The role involved support for the existing in-field applications alongside the development of the multi-million pound next-generation Advanced Telemetry Linked Acquisition System (ATLAS). Working in a highly Agile (Scrum) environment, often to extremely tight timescales and with very high expectations.
