Dominic R. Frutiger studied Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zurich with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Evolution with internships and curricular projects Canada and Japan. As a hobby in parallel to his academic career, he joined the SiROP association in 2004 that provides a webplatform and services for posting and sharing curricular student projects within and between universities and research institutions. He started as key-developer of several generations of the platform and served several years as president and later vice president. In 2010 he concluded my Ph.D. in Micro- and Nanorobotics at the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab, IRIS, ETH Zurich, designing wirelessly actuated mobile magnetic resonant microrobots called MagMites that gained international recognition. He co-founded the ETH spin-off Aeon Scientific AG in 2010 that focuses on magnetic steering technologies in medical products, in particular in the field of electrophysiology. Among general management aspects he was contributing in the roles of Product Manager during the period of 2011-2012. His responsibilities since 2013 focus on project management and ScrumMaster of the medical software division.
