Biography

Dr. Charles Thomas Jr. is an interdisciplinary scholar who studies leadership and human behavior within an organizational context, micro-level influence strategies and tactics, and effective conflict-engagement techniques. He has written extensively on topics pertaining to organizational dynamics, leadership, power, and influence within workplace environments. 

Dr. Thomas is the author of Scars, Exile, and Vindication: My Life As An Experiment, the best-selling work Breakthrough: Stories of Resilience, Tragedy, and Triumph, and the forthcoming work, Leading Through Difficulty: The Darker Side of Workplace Behavior.

Dr. Thomas earned Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, and Doctoral degrees with Distinction. He was born and raised in Flint, MI and lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and children.
