My Agile journey began in 1999 as a Java developer at Menlo Innovations in Ann Arbor, Michigan, using XP (Extreme Programming). In 2004 I moved to Grand Rapids to work at Spectrum Health, an integrated health care company with over 22,000 employees. Currently, as the Agile Coach, I design and deliver internal training on Agile/Scrum for the enterprise, and coach our software development teams. I became a Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Scrum Professional in 2013, and am working on my Certified Scum Coaching accreditation. I have presented at a local (GLSEC) and a regional (STP) conference. At the Atlassian Summit in San Francisco in November 5, 2015 I will be presenting a track session called "Divergence is not Innovation: Using JIRA Agile Governance to Drive Good Agile Behaviors."
In my spare time, I enjoy music and video editing and vfx. I worked in Silicon Valley from 1976 to 1989 and still miss living in Santa Cruz. (<Sigh> No waves in Michigan.)
