Project Manager working with the Program Management Office to provide recommendations to deliver projects more efficiently, utilizes resources more effectively, and better communicates performance on the portfolio of work to all the stakeholders. The city agency had unique needs when it came to project management. Projects in the ITI PMO portfolio affect the well-being and livelihood of a broad constituent base. Standing up the PMO included: training on SAFe, creating processes and procedures, standardizing documents and templates, and creating standard reporting mechanisms.
Provided Scrum training and acted as the ScrumMaster for the Enterprise Information Team. Facilitating for the Operations Team using Kanban. Provided SAFe Training to the Management Team. Now I am working with all of the PM's to use Kanban and Scrum with their teams.

Ms. Canafax supported the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) for the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (DIMHRS) as the Data and Interface Lead for an eight person team which gathered, performed analysis, coordinated design and tested over 110 Army persistent interfaces and 70 Air Force persistent interfaces. She provided expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on data and interface issues specifically mapping, migration, cleansing, conversion and protection of the integrity, availability, authenticity, non-repudiation and confidentiality of user data as it pertains to the overall DIMHRS data and interface architecture. She facilitated and managed the collection of accurate, consistent and complete information on persistent and conversion interfaces needed to support the design and implementation including activities to support integrating legacy systems with the DIMHRS interface broker mechanism. Ms. Canafax served as the project lead to build a working Model of Kent County’s HR and benefits system; delivered a full working demonstration and presentation to the steering committee and the ASG executive sponsors. She provided re-engineered benefit processes; documentation of variances, conversions, interfaces, and has a working knowledge of HIPAA and IA requirements provided recommended reports and an implementation schedule required for project completion in three and half months. Provided project management and planning throughout the implementation.
Ms. Canafax served as the Senior Consultant and project lead for the implementation of the Benefit Administration module, along with FSA Claims Administration, COBRA Administration and Benefits Billing, HIPAA requirements for the City and County of Denver. She led strategic redesign of the corporate business model to support business process re-engineering efforts. She was instrumental in coordinating and working with outside personnel to convert the data from the legacy system to PeopleSoft. This also included loading data from outside vendors for current dependent data to begin event maintenance. Served as the Test Lead at ECOLAB from Oct 97 – Apr 98 and led user acceptance testing for the on-line and batch processes; conducted parallel testing for payroll. She served as the Functional Lead for Southland Corporation, Jun 97 - Oct 97; provided documented business requirements, functional specifications, and created test scripts for a customized Managed Disability Module.
