Denver, CO,—SCRUM ALLIANCE®, the largest, most established and influential professional membership organization and certifying body in the Agile community, announces the launch of its Added Qualifications program to its global community of more than 375,000 members. Added Qualifications is a certificate-based training program offered to cover valuable, complex, business-critical topics. The first courses cover Scaling Scrum Fundamentals and are happening now in Boston and New York. These courses are already filling up, but more courses are coming each month, both domestically and internationally.

Scrum Alliance Managing Director Carol McEwan said, “We collaborated with a committee of Scrum trainers and coaches around the world to be certain the new Added Qualifications program aligns with what our community wants. The result is an opportunity for members to learn more about advanced Scrum topics.”

Students take an Added Qualifications course and validate their knowledge with a corresponding online test. The program will begin with courses in Scaling Scrum Fundamentals. Those interested in earning an Added Qualification in Scaling Scrum Fundamentals will need to hold at least one of two foundational certifications, Certified ScrumMaster® or Certified Scrum Product Owner®.

“Scaling Scrum Fundamentals is just the first in a long line of Added Qualifications courses to come from Scrum Alliance,” said McEwan.

Scrum Alliance is committed to helping Scrum professionals add more depth to their Scrum expertise and be more competitive in the ever-adapting Agile work environment. Read more details regarding the Scrum Alliance Added Qualifications program.

McEwan said, “Our mission is to transform the world of work by guiding organizations to become prosperous and sustainable, to inspire people, and to create value for society. We believe in order to achieve our mission, we must build a community of certified Scrum practitioners eager to enhance their knowledge. This Added Qualifications program is the next step in our evolution to deliver on that mission.”
