Global Scrum Gathering Vienna Scrum Squad

Overview
Scrum Alliance is looking for excited, motivated, and passionate volunteers for the Global Scrum GatheringSM Vienna Scrum Squad. As a member of the Scrum Squad, you’ll work in collaboration with the Volunteer ScrumMaster and Scrum Alliance staff to support onsite needs for Global Scrum GatheringSM Vienna (SGVIE19). 
 
Team Membership
The Vienna Scrum Squad will consist of up to 25 individuals who are part of the Scrum Alliance community through membership and/or certification. Selection of team members is based (in part) on a balance of diverse representation including geography, and active membership with Scrum Alliance,.
 
Responsibilities 
As a Scrum Squad team member, you’ll work in collaboration with the Volunteer ScrumMaster to provide onsite support for the Vienna Gathering. Responsibilities may include registration support, room monitors, stuffing attendee bags, wayfinding, supplies and signage support, and more.
 
In addition to onsite responsibilities, Scrum Squad members will be required to attend one (1) virtual lift-off session prior to the Gathering (date and time to be determined). Team members will be asked to sign a volunteer agreement and are expected to abide by the agreement, the Scrum Alliance code of conduct, and the working agreement designed by the Scrum Squad.

Participation Requirements
  • Active member of Scrum Alliance (either through certification and/or membership)
  • Availability to attend Global Scrum Gathering Vienna, with setup beginning on Sunday, 27 October 2019
  • Availability to participate in a virtual lift-off session (date and time to be determined) prior to Global Scrum Gathering Vienna
  • Volunteer a minimum of 16 hours 
Time Commitment
Scrum Squad members can expect to volunteer a minimum of 16 hours between Sunday 27 October through Wednesday 30 October.
 
Compensation
All Scrum Squad members will receive a full Global Scrum GatheringSM Vienna registration, and are eligible to submit Scrum Education Units (SEUs) toward certification renewal. Volunteers selected for this team are eligible for one (1) SEU per one (1) hour of participation.
