I started working for AT&T Bell Labs in 1978 as a contract engineer until 1993.  From 1993 until 1998 worked downtown Chicago for System Software Associates (SSA) on a UNIX startup team writing a C/C++ code generator for porting enterprise buisness applications from the AS400 platform onto IBM and DEC UNIX OS's.  Came back to Lucent Technologies (formerly Bell Labs, AT&T and now known as Alcatel-Llucent) where I am today.

My main hobbies are restoration of older vehicles, riding my motorcycle and golfing.
