Biography: Dan has a strong background in management, leadership and training. Dan has worked as a manager and leader at Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies and Compassion International. He has over 15 years of leadership background and has a MA from Duquense University in Leadership Development. His background and knowledge of processes and systems coupled with strong leadership skills has allowed him to help individuals who seek to advance their professional development through coaching. Dan is a team player focused on working with people who want to achieve greater results in their role and as individuals. Dan has over 15 years of experience as a manager, leader, project manager and process developer.

Career and Professional Experience: Dan has a background in engineering and management having worked in the Research and Development of Micro-Electronic devices at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. He was promoted into a series of management roles as department manager and worked in project management and process improvement roles. As a manager he realized that the role of management was not just to balance the bottom line it was to effectively lead a team and develop the team so they were empowered to make a larger contribution to the results of the organization. At HP he developed community building programs to help the staff understand their unique strengths and contributions they made. At Compassion International he led the IT project team on substantial projects for the advancement of awareness of HIV/AIDS and other projects that were delivered around the globe. Dan also teaches a variety of computer science related courses at College America. He introduced and help develop the Agile platform used at Compassion International and worked with teams and customer's on the adoption and integration of Scrum and Agile techniques to enhance and improve software delivery.
Dan is the co-author of two books, ADHD Treatments and Remedies, and 10 Minute Job Search Success.
Education, Professional Affiliations: Dan has a MA in Leadership from Duquense University (Pittsburgh, PA) and coach training from one of the premiere coach training organizations, Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). With over 400 hours of coach specific training. He also has over 40 hours of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) training. He is a certified coach with Winslow Research Institute, is certified with the Taylor Protocols Core Value Index, and is certified in the Energy Leadership Index. Dan is a member of the Business Success Coach Network, a coach with the Executive Career Hub, a Success Mentor for MyCEO.com, and the former Coaching Director for Leadership Gold for Women. He is a member of CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD), ADDA (Adults with ADD), and the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
Description of Coaching Accreditation: Dan is accredited with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) at the ACC level and was certified at this level in December of 2011.

International Exposure: Dan has delivered software project in New Zealand and Italy and has participated in the global roll out of programs in 26 developing countries coordinating the delivery of applications and support. Dan has coached clients in Mexico, and Canada.
Coaching Approach: Dan uses resources from Appreciative Inquiry, positive psychology, neuroscience and solid process knowledge of coaching to help clients to create new insights that can lead to extraordinary results. Using the latest research in leadership development and practices combined with solid work experience and coaching knowledge Dan is able to bring a rich wealth of practical knowledge into the coaching conversation. As a coach Dan follows the standard coaching process of having the client own the agenda, outcome and he ensures that all conversations confidential.
Coaching Programs:
- Leadership Development Coaching, this program has been used since 2003 to help senior project managers develop the communications skills to engage and empower others to deliver high quality results through better use of language, creating committed outcomes, and engaging in active listening and positive communications. (Includes ideas on succession planning, inspiring others, goal setting and strategic planning)
- Career Transition Coaching, Dan has been helping individuals since 2008 develop solid position to a new position requires adjustments in behavioral and attitudinal components. Career transition coaching helps with moving from a leader of individuals to a leader of leaders. Resume’ development, mastering the interview process and reviewing attitudinal and behavioral assessments to determine what is inhibiting professional development. Assessments are used to help the employee/leader understand what is limiting their growth as a leader and contributor.
- ADHD Coaching, in 2011 Dan started helping small business leaders and individuals overcome the issues of ADHD by implementing new ways of getting results. The process includes focus on time management, organization, and overcoming motivational issues to execute and get results more consistently.
