As a product owner for a large investment management firm, I'm responsible for understanding, prioritizing, and communicating the business requirements of our users to our developments team. I utilize several methods for communicating the requirements such as user stories, story maps, and of course, constant face to face interaction with the team. I advocate for the business and work with key stakeholders to align product functionality with business needs all within the context of constantly changes business priorities. I work with the development team to groom the product backlog, plan each two week sprint, plan releases, size new projects, and design solutions to address a wide variety of business needs. As a strong champion of Agile practices, I have assumed a leadership role within my group and am expanding into other groups within the organization. I have well rounded knowledge about all aspects of the Product Owner role and the Scrum Master role, as well as the important functions and practices of a strong development team.
