Thushara Wijewardena has gained over ten years of experience in software outsourcing industry, in the areas of software project management and heading the PMOs. Currently she works as the Project Director of Exilesoft, and based in Sri Lanka.

As a Senior Project Manager, Thushara has managed multiple projects for various customers located in different parts of the world, including large scale projects for some of the world’s leading multinational companies.
She has gained in-depth knowledge and experience of Project Office management and experienced various project management frameworks including Agile and Waterfall over a period of time and seen the success as well as failures.

She has worked as a project management consultant for some of the Sri Lankan Government projects in order to improve the project management efficiencies in various projects.
Thushara is a certified PMP and currently involved in a project management research “Success of software project management in offshore development environment”.
