Juan T. Alvarado has been employed and schooled in the IT and Software indulstries since 1990 when he worked the summer in the datacenter of Home Savings of America's head quarters and enrolled that fall in the CS&E program in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles.  He has worked for several large established companies (IBM, HP, MS, Safeco) as well as some smaller and even start-up companies (Channel One, Apex Learning, GraniteEdge Networks) and finds himself now employed by a medium sized, well established company that manages to feel very much like a start-up (Serena Software) where he is the SDET Lead of the Agile On Demand product team.
