Rupesh Surendran is a Project Manager with more than 10 years of experience in delivering IT projects for large customers.
After having been exposed to the limitations of Waterfall methodology in his early projects, he began exploring alternative methods that can improve predictability and ensure a win-win situation for both business and IT. He has experimented with methods from the Agile world that include Scrum and XP as well as manufacturing-inspired Pull systems such as Kanban and DBR, achieving generally positive outcome.
He believes in the adage "You should not have a favorite weapon" attributed to the Japanese Samurai Miyamoto Musashi as fondness for a weapon (or method) can cloud your judgment and justify its unsuitable usage. Given that each project is unique and one size doesn't fit all, he is open to blending Scrum with other techniques or vice versa to deliver the project successfully.
