Dean Latchana: As a Certified Scrum Master I have introduced Scrums principles, practices and benefits to several delivery teams at the BBC and, currently, at MTV Network Europe. I have demonstrated to Senior Management the benefits of the Scrum framework, such as allowing them to monitor the progress of projects and be aware of pertinent project issues. It has also allowed them to make alterations to a project without untimely interference to development.

Through the use of offsite training and in-house coaching I have helped departments rollout Scrum to their development teams in a way that is sensitive to their organisational structure and project portfolio.

For the past six years I have been charged with identifying the resource and personnel requirements for a portfolio of projects and operational services. In a changing business environment I've managed the assignment of staff on a day-to-day operational level and through to a wider strategic level. Team size typical varies between a six and a dozen individuals in different locations and with a multitude of skillsets (developers, software-engineers, designers, QA, IA, UX specialists, user testers, team leaders).

I proactively manage the implementation of projects throughout their lifecycle. By ensuring the appropriate methodologies are employed I've successfully delivered on time, to budget and specification. I have a wealth of experience in identifying and preempting issues and risks. I am able to monitor and control risks and devise effective mitigation if they become an issue.

More recently at MTV I have achieved the same success at a project portfolio level, where I help ensure that strategic goals are met at a department level across multiple work streams.

I have a wealth of experience managing and motivating project teams and supporting collaborative working. This is particularly with teams distributed in many locations across the country and overseas.
