Gerald "Jerry" Suiter
Graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BSE specializing in Computer Engineering. I started working in the EDA industry in 1990 for Intergraph working on PCB Layout on the VAX hardware platform. Working for a small EDA company, I did customer support, quality assurance, consulting, training, etc for the PCB Layout applications. Through various name changes and acquisitions, DASIX, Intergraph Electronics, Veribest and now Mentor Graphics, I continue to work within PCB Layout. My job is to understand our customers’ requirements specific to Physical Realization of Printed Circuit Boards, prioritize these requirements, work with engineering software developers on solution proposals and architecture descriptions specific to incoming customer requirements, and review prototype solutions to determine when we can releases the changes to our customers. In short, my colleagues and I plan what’s in a release, how the functionality works and when we can release the software changes to our customers.
