Igor Macaubas

I was first introduced to Scrum in a course that I took in April/2008. The next day after the course was over, I started to apply Scrum in my company immediately. Challenges where endless, since the company I work for already had an ISO 9000 certification, and was warming up to become CMMI Level 2. Since then, I started to make more and more progress in learning about Scrum, applying Scrum in our environment, and making it a fully adherent process, for both ISO standards and CMMI Level 2 maturity. I got my CSM in October, in a training with Boris Gloger.

Today, I'm a Scrum Master in a Software Development company in Brazil, and one of the most active members of the Brazilian Scrum community. I'm one of the coordinators of the website http://www.scrum.org.br, and one of the founders of the Scrum user-group in Recife, my hometown.

I also try to spread the agile seed around all the way I can - leading workshops, talking and spreading the word around in universities and companies around the country. I've teamed up with another CSM (Marcos Pereira), and made great contributions to the Brazilian Scrum Community. One of our major contributions was a presentation that we've developed and made available to the world: http://www.slideshare.net/macaubas/

If you want someone who is experienced in traditional methods, and changed the world of work with Scrum, please give me a chance to go to your company or university and talk about my experience. I'm wide open to keep the ball rolling...
