Hi! My name is Rafael Sabbagh and I'm an Agile coach and trainer. I offer training and coaching to people and companies from all over the world through my own company, Knowledge21. I am a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), which means you receive an official certificate from the Scrum Alliance when you satisfactorily participate in my Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) classes.

In my classes, I use the latest and most advanced techniques of teaching and facilitation. This way, I intend to give my students a real experience of learning and sharing experiences, creating an excellent gain for them. My students also benefit from my knowledge and expertise accumulated over the years, from both technical and business nature.

My experience includes more than a decade working with IT projects and leadership of development teams. I worked as a ScrumMaster for a few years and today I work as an Agile coach in companies of different sizes and I teach Agile and Scrum in courses, events and organizations.

I'm a Computer Engineer and Master in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil. In my dissertation, "Critical Factors for the Practice of Agile Values ​​in Information Technology Teams", I deeply studied issues related to the use of Agile by IT teams in Brazil and analyzed it based on relevant theories, such as Toyota Production System / Lean, teamwork theories, customer relationship theories, motivation theories and others.

I am an experienced software developer and I know the developer's mind. Back in my developer days, I've worked with a lot of different programming languages and technologies, which included: desktop programming with Java, C++, C, VB, Lua and VBA (for Excel and Word); internet programming with HTML/DHTML, JSP, XML, JavaScript/VBScript, ASP and C#.NET; database Access, SQL Server and Oracle; and EAI with webMethods.

I ran sessions at the Brazil Scrum Gathering 2009, Ágiles 2009, Germany Scrum Gathering 2009, Orlando Scrum Gathering 2010, Agile Brazil 2010, Amsterdam Scrum Gathering and Agile Brazil 2011.
