Mike Bowler is an experienced software consultant, specializing in Agile Methodologies and the Ruby and Java languages.  

He became interested in what would later be called Agile in 2000 through the C2 wiki and the publication of the XP "White Book", the first book on Extreme Programming.  He founded XP Toronto in 2001 in order to get like-minded people together to talk about better ways of developing software and has been an active member of that group ever since.  

He became certified as a CSM in May 2003 in the second-ever CSM course.  As a result of that course, Mike was part of the group that formed Scrum Toronto and the early beginnings of what would become the Scrum Alliance.

He's been using Agile practices and process' ever since and has helped many teams improve the way they develop software.  He has spoken at a variety of international conferences and local user groups on Agile related topics.
