Francesco Sferlazza holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II.

Since 1990, Francesco worked extensively on several ICT projects. His work has focused on web-based multimedia platforms (web-TV, web-gaming, IPTV, digital signage, content management systems).

His emphasis has been on the agile management of IT/ICT projects (SCRUM, XP), agile coaching and mentoring. He is creative, proactive, tenacious and has a wonderful can-do attitude.

Francesco works at Italtel spa, where is head of the “O&M and Database Applications” unit (60+ people) that is part of the Multimedia Products & Solution Division.

He is responsible for software development and maintenance, leads cross-functional teams with diverse technical backgrounds, facilitates the Scrum adoption within his organization and implements state-of-the-art solutions. Using the best practices of agile methodologies, he is able to reduce time-to-market and to lower costs.

Francesco is a signatory of the Agile manifesto.

Francesco is committed to projects such as Cubovision, IPTV, and DAM at Telecom Italia (based in Val Cannuta, Rome) where he serves as senior consultant, project manager and main customer interface.

Francesco has served as solutions architect at Alcatel-Lucent and Italtel and, as consultant, for several ICT projects involving different technologies and players.

He has created from scratch several web sites, ranging from e-commerce services to on-line auctions and content management systems.

He also has strong experience in pre-sales activities, offerings and business development. He participated in multi-site projects in France, Belgium, UK and Argentina.

Francesco is SCRUM Master, and in 2010 achieved the Certified Scrum Professional certification (SCRUMAlliance.org).
