I started my IT career in 1988 as a trainee programmer. 

Over the course of the next few years I progressed to a senior developer/team leader having worked on numerous projects covering the full software development life cycle.

In 1995 I moved into project management which included all aspects of managing the project life cycle from inception through to business analysis, development, testing, implementation, customer management and financial management. 

I’ve successfully project managed and implemented systems into many organisations covering business areas such as stock control, warehouse management, sales order processing and retail point of sale.

I converted to agile practices and concepts in 2007 and have been implementing Scrum since August 2007.  I’m actively involved in promoting scrum within my organisation along with helping the company migrate to more agile practices and the adoption of scrum throughout our software development division.

Agile practices and scrum are now a fundamental way of my working life and there will be no going back.
