Gemma Hornos studied Computer Science and specialized in software engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Currently, she works for Telefónica R&D and occasionally teaches subjects related to software methodologies at university.

Gemma honed her agile skills at Telefonica R&D (the R&D unit of the Telefónica Group – one of the top five telecom operators). From Quality Auditor to Agile Adoption Leader and Agile Coach, she has defined the agile transition model and the coaching role. She has worked with some 20 teams, hand-in-hand, on how to reap the benefits of Scrum, and taught nearly 15 agile courses.

While at Telefonica R&D, she has once been acknowledged once for her proactive attitude and involvement, and as a professional who has significantly empowered the innovative culture thanks to the introduction of Agile.
