Joined BT in 1986, specialising in Access Network technologies, outside plant installation, marking and damage prevention. Created a software tool to calculate the cost of moving telecoms plant as required by the New Roads and Street Works Act. Picked up 6 patents and a couple of company awards. Drifted into business operations and measuring delivery performance. Learned about Lean, then Agile. Became Senior Agile Consultant to encourage curious folk to adopt Agile techniques. I coach, encourage, lead, and attempt to measure Agile projects.
