Currently a Project Manager, Test Architect, and Certified Scrum Master. At present I'm fulfilling these roles for a Department of Defense contractor.

My earlier background includes serving as the most senior Contacting Manager for the State of Alaska, where I managed a wide array of projects ranging in value from a few hundred thousand dollars to well over 100 million. During that period I taught myself to program and wrote several database and work management applications that were used for many years to manage Alaska's procurement and contracting processes. It was during this time that I became hooked on programming, application development, and management of IT projects, as well as a management of a multitude of other kinds of major projects.

My current interest is in Scrum as a means to increase the fun, efficiency, and professional satisfaction in developing useful IT applications for clients of Resource Data. I firmly believe that Scrum and other Agile frameworks and methodologies can consistently produce far more favorable and beneficial results than traditional IT practices of the past (read Waterfall).
