In his role as a Senior Project Manager, John Hill functions as an Agile Program Manager, ScrumMaster, and Scrum Trainer for the Aerospace and Defense division of JDA Software Group, Inc., headquartered in Calabasas, California where he works with JDA's "Contract Manufacturing" suite of products (http://www.jda.com/solutions/contract-overview.html).   John also recently served as Program Manager for Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) division's funded off-shore development initiative that ended on December 31, 2008.  http://www.boeing.com/ids/  John is thus quite familiar with the challenges associated with offshore Scrum.  JDA also recently used Scrum to port John's divisions products from the HP PA-RISC platform to the HP Integrity IA64 (i.e., Itanium) platform.  John also successfully managed that (now complete) program: (http://h20341.www2.hp.com/integrity/cache/332341-0-0-0-121.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN).  John is currently leading the effort to provide a major system to replace the MRI (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) systems for NAVAIR (the part of the United States Navy which provides materiel support for naval aircraft and airborne weapon systems) .  More specifically he's providing a system that will be used to repair, replace and overhaul aircraft ro three large NAVAIR depots: North Island (San Diego, CA): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Air_Station_North_Island,, the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Air_Station_Jacksonville and the Marine Corps.
